With the WX800, Toshiba joins the 3D TV market. It is now available on sale in the U.S.

With the WX800, Toshiba follows the likes of LG, Sony, Mitsubishi, Panasonic and Samsung to enter the 3D TV market this year. This shift towards 3D TV will ensure that the viewers are able to watch things in third dimension right in their living room.

Like any other 3D TV, you will have to buy glasses from Toshiba in order to enjoy the 3D experience. These glasses are priced at $169 for each pair. The WX800 is being offered in two sizes: the 55-inch model priced at $3,299 and the 46-inch model priced at $2,599. Both the models feature a LED backlight that is lit on the edge. These models are super thin at 1.2″ and have a very sleek look that is so characteristic of a modern high end 3D TV.

Toshiba has made some efforts to be different from the rest of the pack and has included the 3D Resolution+ processing, which enhances the 3D picture quality by considerably decreasing crosstalk. Although it isn’t very different from its competitors it does have a few advantages over them.

Other mesmerizing features of the WX800 series HDTVs include a superior edge lighting system, DynaLight control for constantly optimized contrast, ClearFrame 240Hz technology for fast and clear motion picture, in-built 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi capacity, four HDMI connections, high resolution PC input and ColorStream component input.

It has become increasingly difficult for users to decide which LED TV to choose from the many that are available in the market. To make things easier for them, Toshiba has come up with a new Wi-Fi HDTV called the UX600. It is a wonderful LED TV that requires no network cables to stream the content to display.

This all new product from Toshiba comes loaded with some very exciting features. Unlike other HDTVs, the UX600 LED TV does not require Ethernet connection for Internet access as it has an in-built Wi-Fi adapter. You can make use of this LED TV to check out movies from your favorite DVD player and also watch TV. It lets you access YouTube videos, Pandora music and you can also enjoy slideshows from Picasa.

The UX600 enables you to stream 1080p HD movies with a stunning 5.1 surround sound thanks to the team up between Toshiba and VUDU. It also allows you to stream content from the various online videos and photo sites. The feature of “Ticker” keeps you abreast with all the latest happenings and updates from news, weather, stock updates and Twitter.

The UX600 also scores very high on its functionality as a TV. The Pixel Pure 5 Engine and Clear Frame technology incorporated in this LED TV makes fast action videos amazingly clear and also increases standard definition images.

The LED TV also has a Gaming Mode and is available in three different models with the sizes of 40, 46 and 55 inches. It is expected to hit the market this month and would come at an affordable price of $1400.

The AQUOS LC-15L1U-S Wi-Fi TV by Sharp looks unique. The Wi-Fi TV comes with an in-built rechargeable battery and a wireless AV center which measures less than 3” deep and has screen that is 15” diagonally. The wonderful offering from Sharp can be carried out around the house anywhere up to 50 feet from the wireless center. So there is no need for you to worry about the power cords. The picture quality is as astonishing as it can get with the Sharp’s proprietary Advanced View LCD Panel.

The 500:1 contrast ratio and wide viewing angles of the Wi-Fi TV makes it equally brilliant to the other available AQUOS Liquid Crystal TVs. The screen size of this Wi-Fi TV is about 15 inches and it includes a wireless media receiver. The connectors available with it are a remote control, an audio line out and a composite video/audio input. It also has RF inputs and outputs apart from headphones and S-video input. Coming from the Aquos product line, the TV has additional features like a clock, auto clock set, an automatic blue screen and an anti reflection coating.

The product has the capability to connect all the video sources that you may have from TV to DVD and VCR. However, the area of concern for this Wi-Fi TV by Sharp is the reception which is quite restricted. Also, the battery life is very minimal and the display has not been optimized for outdoor settings. The 15-inch LCD also is high on the price range and it would be interesting to see the response that it gets in the market.

There is a myriad iPhone clones found in the market today which are mostly manufactured in China. However, the recent HiPhone F06-Slim Wi-Fi TV phone available in the market has caught the imagination of many people because of its stunning similarity with the BlackBerry Storm. The introduction of the HiPhone can be considered as an attempt of RIM to enter the market of touch screen phones.

The resemblance to BlackBerry is not the only reason for the increasing popularity of the HiPhone. The model also has the features of a TV support and Wi-Fi connectivity. This ensures that you have greater functionality and have any time access to the world of entertainment. The HiPhone has a touch screen display of 3.2” which is smaller in comparison to the iPhone. However, the power packed features somewhat compensate for it.

For the people who are mostly on the go, the HiPhone has dual SIM slots and a quad-band GSM handset. You can also take great pictures with the 1.3 megapixel camera. The other features include an FM radio for those who have an ear for music and a micro SD support. The GPRS navigation system lets you find all the right tracks and the file transfer is made easy by its Bluetooth feature. The model is without the refresh button and to the users delight does not have the SurePress as well.

Although the HiPhone is quite different from the other models made available from China, its operating system and the user interface may not match the real phone.

Monitors and other computer parts belong to such products that can live long since it will be really foolish to buy a new monitor every month. And, by the way, extremely expensive. But there is one more thing that should stop you if you want to get rid of an old monitor – they are full of toxic materials which can get into the ground and water. And even if you are not a GreenPeace member, you should think at least of yourself. And we can help you, think of the following 3 ways to use your old monitor:

make TV on PC

That’s is a great idea since it offers pure advantages: no monthly payments and no hardware required, no cables and huge satellite dishes, more than 3,000 channels and channels from 78 countries, 24/7 support and updates, works on ANY computer, easy channel search, cheap price. What is more, Watch Cable and Satellite Online is a great idea for those who would like to get the most of their PC monitor.

fishtank

It sounds crazy but why not make a fishtank out of your old PC? That’s a perfect idea for old big monitors. You have to take a couple of friends and take everything out of your monitor, simply leave a case, make it waterproof with the help of silicone and other materials and hurray, you’ve get a main focal point of your house.

recycle

Simply recycle your old monitor. You can make it through your retailer.

Look at the worlds first HD LCD TV having dual features of beauty with high image resolution. The Sony BRAVIA ZX1 Wi-Fi TV is an appealing gadget with 40 inch LCD and 9.9 mm sleek screen. The most prominent feature is that no wires or cables need to be linked.

The Sony BRAVIA X1 is counted as today’s most exclusive and inimitable product. The TV utilizes a wireless base station to televise its signal, avoiding the jungle of cables bunged into it. This base station is attuned with older digital TV boxes, and it even includes a built-in tuner.

Its exclusive features include the digital broadcast and cable tuners that can be controlled by Radio Frequency so that you can even plug it in your shelf. With BRAVIA the screen would never be blank. Like screen savers it can display images which are saved in the receiver or the users choice images which can be stored via USB.

The Sony BRAVIA pricing is yet not declared, however it is due to hit the UK market in December.
