Three have released a latest version of the Mi-Fi from their Wi-Fi unit. It has been named Huawei E585 and has several new features. It gets started with a single touch and has the ability to connect with 5 different devices on the internet over a 3G network at once. These aren’t the only upgrades from the previous model, which was launched last year.

With the router, you can keep track of the amount of data being used with the help of an OLED screen. Besides, you also get to know the duration of your usage along with the speed of the connection you are using. It features an online dashboard which is compatible with any web browser for Linux, Windows and Mac.

Another significant upgrade is the option of charging the device while it is being used. Three have constantly thrived to improve on their previous devices and when they launched their first Mi-Fi device, the customers had requested for several upgrades and here comes the latest device with upgraded features.

A very strong 3G connection is required to connect devices and this becomes even more important when you are on the move. Three has teamed up with Huawei to ensure that they together offer the customers a great device over a seamless network. With these two telecom giants working together, there was no doubt that customers would be offered something spectacular and this latest device is nothing short of a spectacle. Be it looks or performance it scores heavily. It is priced at £49.99.

Apple and Netcomm have entered into an exclusive contract in order to launch a 3G Wi-Fi router. This device can be connected to netbook/notebooks, iPads, smartphones and even gaming consoles wirelessly. It is called MyZone and is very mobile. It is only 9mm thin and weighs a meager 77 grams. Laced with Li-ion battery, it gives up to 6 hours of backup.

This mobile yet effective device surprisingly is very easy to install. To get it started, all you will need to do is connect it to NetComm MyZone, a wireless network and punch in the default password. After getting connected you can change the settings, including security settings very easily by logging on to my.zone on the browser. It also has a feature that helps you keep track of the battery levels as well as the connection status of your 3G network.

The success of such devices nowadays is judged not only by its efficiency and performance but also by the performance of the battery and MyZone absolutely fits the bill as its gives unmatched performance along with longer hours of battery. According to Mr. David Stewart, MD, Netcomm, along with performance and mobility a superior battery life goes a long way in ensuring that a product is well received by the consumers.

Another very important aspect of MyZone is that it focuses a lot on the ease of usage of the device. Although laced with latest technology and features it is very user friendly and getting connected to 3G networks is simply a hassle free task!

The new WiFi Direct is a wonderful device, which is definitely going to help the users to exchange relevant data and share applications without the availability of any WiFi access point. It absolutely requires no hotspot or router to establish a wireless connection. The new wireless networking specification has a myriad uses, which goes beyond the Bluetooth territory even threatening to make the current wireless protocol outdated. The devices would soon get certification to get WiFi Direct compliance by the mid of next year. The certification will be finalized by the WiFi Alliance.

Edgar Figueroa, the executive director of WiFi Alliance believes that the new spec is a big leap for the industry. The single technology solution would provide excellent benefits for all the users to transfer their content and share applications in a fast and easy way even when there is no WiFi access available around the area. WiFi Direct is set to make the WiFi more pervasive and rally beneficial for the end users and across different businesses.

Though peer-to-peer wireless networking is still around, it is somewhat complex and unmanageable and has a maximum speed of just 11 Mbps. On the other hand WiFi Direct promises speed of up to 250 Mbps in addition to broadcasting the availability of its devices and finding out other WiFi Direct devices. The great thing about WiFi Direct is that it can connect in pairs as well as in groups and you need to have just one device compliant with WiFi Direct to establish a connection and to transfer files and information.
