Renowned Wi-Fi provider, The Cloud has recently announced the release of Fast Connect which is a great application available to all the iPhone users. The application would ensure the users to get their hands on almost 22,000 Wi-Fi access points of the company on O2 network. The hotspot locator of this application has the ability to connect to the numerous Wi-Fi access points that are present in the company’s network of Europe.

Users get connected to the access point which is in the range as the application updates the list of the Wi-Fi access points that appear on the line. Steve Nicholson who is the CEO of The Cloud felt that there are only a few O2 iPhone users who know of this free service and suggested that he would want a lot more people to download this application. This would mean users would get quick and easy access to the O2 network.

The all new application is also compatible with the iPod Touch, iPad and Mac laptops. O2 users were earlier given the feature to connect to The Cloud in their mobile broadband package. However, this new application combines the use of iPhone with the O2 subscription. The lack of investment in mobile broadband had been a serious issue for O2 and the use public Wi-Fi network gave them some time to improve their coverage. The network of The Cloud allows Wi-Fi access in some great places. The main concern for The Cloud seems to be forming the base of people who use more of public or Wi-Fi connections.

Joost, a popular Web video service is expecting that iPhone will help boosting its reputation as well as sale. Joost, one of the first services to bring the idea of watching TV shows online was eclipsed by newer sites like Hulu and Veoh last year.

The good news is that, Joost has found a great way to combat with its competitors with a free iPhone application that lets users watch their favorite TV shows from CBS, Warner Bros., Sony and Comedy Central and the best thing is that without any extra charges of a Wi-Fi connection.

Joost, CEO, Mike Volpi hopes that this plan will encourage folks to take a second look at this cool web service provider.
