Subaru has announced that its Outback 2011 will be available with an in-built Wi-Fi as dealer installed option. This should come as a great news for many who couldn’t afford swanky cars that had this option.

It absolutely requires no hotspot or router to establish a wireless connection. The new wireless networking specification has a myriad uses, which goes beyond the Bluetooth territory even threatening to make the current wireless protocol outdated. The devices would soon get certification to get WiFi Direct compliance by the mid of next year. The certification will be finalized by the WiFi Alliance.
