Virgin America has joined hands with Google and will be able to provide free inflight Wi-Fi between 10 November 2009 to 15 January 2010.
Virgin America, the famous California-based carrier, is in news again for offering the new Fleetwide WiFi. It is the first airline to offer Gogo In-flight Internet Service on its each flight. Now, passengers on Virgin America’s flights get to enjoy net surfing, checking e-mails and logging on to their corporate VPN.
This is in fact a milestone in the accomplishments of Virgin America. It is one of the best air travel companies with an award-winning service and now with the offer of Fleetwide WiFi it is expected to touch new powers. This company is still not allowing Voice-Over-IP services like Skype due to noise and cabin environment concerns.
