Boingo Wireless, which has to its credit the largest network of Wi-Fi hotspots in the world, came up with this great news for the BlackBerry smartphone owners. The authentication software and its mobile service would now be available for the users from the Boingo Download Center. The application provides an alternative to the smartphone users who can get access to Boingo’s Wi-Fi network which has over 100,000 hotspots. It also gives you high speed, one click access to large amount of cellular data.

The BlackBerry Curve 8900, BlackBerry Bold and the BlackBerry Curve 8320 are the smartphones which will have the availability of this application. The company would announce BlackBerry smartphone models, which support this application as and when they become available. The Boingo Mobile application provides a convenient and comfortable connection, thereby, enriching the way BlackBerry smartphone users experience the Wi-Fi usage. The application makes the users aware that they are in a Boingo hotspot by notifying them and connecting to the Boingo network is as easy as making a single click.

The general manger of mobile and product management of Boingo Mobile, Jonathan Mendelson confirmed the BlackBerry users that they can switch to Boingo Wi-Fi connection without much trouble when they are using data-intensive application online. Apart from the BlackBerry platform support, Boingo also provides support for smartphones based on Android, iPhone and Windows Mobile platforms. Boingo is looking to further update its application for the BlackBerry smartphones so that the users can derive more benefits from the network and locations offered by Boingo.
