WiGig Alliance paves way for tri-band Wi-Fi routers

Having completed its first specification, WiGig Alliance is all set with tri-band a Wi-Fi router, which is possible as early as 2010. The speed of the WiGig is expected to be supremely fast because of the improvements that have been made during the development of the specification. The speed of 7 Gbits/s makes it almost ten times faster than 802.11n. The frequency of the spectrum used by the WiGig protocol is much faster than ones used in most of the modern current devices.
