Do you all get bored during a flight? I am sure you all must have thought of getting a Wi-Fi connection during flight to kill time. Here is good news for all of you. Virgin America has joined hands with Google and will be able to provide free inflight Wi-Fi  between 10 November 2009 to 15 January 2010.

Earlier SAS and Lufthansa used to provide this facility on board with Boeing Connexion. But they had to cut it down due to closure of Boeing. All that you need is Wi-Fi enabled mobile device or a laptop. A mobile broadband network of ground towers has been built by Gogo Inflight internet which covers the entire sky over United States. The onboard equipment searches for strongest connection and gets connected. Just turn on Wi-Fi on your device and connect to ‘gogoinflight’ signal and you are connected.

What is the best thing about this facility is that the connection is fast as there is no hindrance between towers and inflight equipments. So, if you have to send an urgent email or if you want to chat with your friend, you can do that all during your journey. Now your plane is your flying hotspot as well. Stay connected.
