Gone are the days when you had to do without the internet when you were on the wheels. Soon users would be able to access their favorite social networking sites like the Facebook and MySpace even when they are on the move. A conventional 3G SIM card would now enable the users to their cars into a Wi-Fi hotspot by putting the SIM card into their dashboard slot.

Strike known for importing Bluetooth vehicle technology will make it possible for the motorists to get acquainted with internet connected vehicles in the near future. It would be as easy as having an air conditioning or other in-car entertainment devices on your car. Chris Ryan who heads Strike believes that internet devices that have been gaining popularity off late would provide immense benefit to the motorists worldwide.

The recently held Mobile World Congress had a number of internet empowered cars with the feature of SIM card slot. The new technology means that the users can access the internet very conveniently and access the various social networking websites as easily as they do in the internet cafes. Automobile giants Audi have plans to incorporate the 3G connectivity in some of their selected A8 models this year.

The technology will open a world of opportunities to the users who would have the option to make voice and data connections simultaneously. Navigation systems that are compatible with various GPS system will now be available to the users. Motorists will have live traffic updates, aerial and 3D imagery with the help of these systems.

I agree, a great phone. There is an update to the operating system on this phone. Android 2.1 is available free. I think you need to check with your Network for a download.
