Buffalo Technology, a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wired and wireless networking, recently announced that a federal judge has stayed the permanent injunction in the ongoing U.S. patent litigation in relation to selling, using and importing or manufacturing of Buffaloʼs IEEE 802.11a and 802.11g standard compliant products.

In other words, Buffalo Technology is now free to sell its wireless products in the U.S. This recent injunction stay on Buffalo Technology Wi-Fi products in the U.S. has come as a relief and reason for celebration at the Buffalo offices. Finally, Buffalo has been freed from its CSIRO-given chains.

It was the Australian Science Agency CSIRO, which sued Buffalo Inc. and its US affiliate Buffalo Technology Inc. on charges that its products infringed in U.S Patent 5,487,069 concerns Wi-Fi technology related to the transmission of modulation of wireless signals.
