The DCS-1130 wireless N network camera is a product of D-Link. The camera has a rather large size and the body measurement is 1.5 x 3.2 x 4.7 inches. There are also 3.5 inch antennas present over the top of the camera. The camera has a green light which flashes to indicate that a video is being monitored.
Unlike the other 802.11n wireless camera, it is bigger in size and does not give you the option to work offline. The installation of the camera is also not very simple. There is a need to install and run wizard that are compatible with Windows computers. You also need a router with Wi-Fi Protected Setup to use the camera. The camera mostly fails to meet the overall expectation of the users. The image quality needs a lot to be desired and has a top resolution of 640 x 480 pixels only.
When the installation process is completed, you get an account on mydlink.com where you can log in very easily to view the streaming video. You can log in to your account from Windows as well as Macintosh computers. You may face a little difficulty when you try logging in with your cell phone. The camera needs a 3G video player and Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) support if you intend to use it with a 3G phone. It does not feature a motor so that you can pan left or right and also does not have the autofocus option. The camera which promised a lot initially is more of a let down for the users.
